This six-week intensive introduces actors to the foundations of the craft and the professional acting industry. Designed for beginners as well as experienced actors who are new to the studio, the program combines practical acting work with an in-depth look at the artistic and professional life of an actor.
Through scene study, monologues, cold reading, and improvisation, actors explore script analysis, character development, truthful behavior, connection, and the creative process of bringing material to life. The intensive also introduces actors to the professional side of the industry, including information about auditions, self-tapes, headshots and resumes, and professional expectations.
